Delete your account

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. Anything you've added — a listing, a review, or a photo — you can delete yourself at any time: open the item in the app, tap its menu, and choose Delete. It's removed immediately and your account stays active.

To request removal of any other data tied to your account — or if you can't reach the app — email noreply@prairiedogginit.com from your account's email address and we'll take care of it.

1. Open the PrairieDogginIt app on your phone (iOS or Android).
2. Sign in if you aren't already.
3. Tap the menu icon in the top-left corner to open the side drawer.
4. Tap Settings.
5. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
6. Type DELETE in the confirmation box and tap Permanently delete my account.

You'll be signed out immediately and your account will be marked for deletion.

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your display name, avatar, email, and profile information.
• Your saved searches, favorites, and viewed-history.
• Direct messages you sent (scrubbed in conversations on both sides).
• Push notification tokens for your devices.
• Your beta-tester role and bug-report threads.

To preserve the public usefulness of the map and comply with legal and platform requirements, a small set of data is retained after account deletion:

• Listings you created stay on the map (they're community data), but are no longer attributed to you.
• Reviews you wrote stay published but are anonymized (your name is replaced with "Former user").
• Transaction records (purchases, payouts, refunds) are retained for tax + accounting purposes for up to 7 years per applicable law.
• Aggregate, anonymized analytics (e.g. "how many users viewed this listing in May 2026") that don't identify you personally.

If you want any of the retained items removed too (e.g. you want your listings or reviews fully deleted, not just anonymized), email us at noreply@prairiedogginit.com from the account's email address and we'll handle it manually.

Your account becomes inaccessible immediately. The underlying records are permanently purged from our active database within 30 days. Backups are rotated out within 90 days of deletion, after which no copy remains.

If you can't sign in or otherwise can't reach the in-app deletion, email noreply@prairiedogginit.com from the address tied to your account. We'll verify ownership and delete the account on your behalf.
